Increasing Recruiting Efficiency with AI

Today, we all use technology to manage our lives. We use various apps each day that help us connect to the rest of the world, keep track of our fitness and health, find a recipe to cook something special, find a doctor, the list goes on. But, when it comes to worklife, we’re often discouraged from depending on cutting-edge technology. Even after the latest artificial intelligence (AI) boom, stakeholders are hesitant to deploy AI into the process—specifically in recruitment.

One of the fears expressed by human resources (HR) and recruiting professionals is that AI will take away the ‘human’ from human resources. It is high time we look at the advantages that AI brings by taking care of time-consuming, routine tasks that recruiting professionals encounter on an everyday basis.

Below, we talk about some of the processes that can be significantly improved when you invest in the right AI technology.

Sourcing

Sourcing is an ongoing process for a proactive recruiter. The talent pool is wide and deep, and there are miles to go before you find the right talent for your organization. However, this search can be streamlined with the help of AI. While platforms like LinkedIn can be the right arsenal for recruiters, services like Hiretual provide an AI sourcing assistant which will perform sourcing for you.

By performing a Boolean search, finding the candidate insights from Big Data, and improving the talent search in LinkedIn, Hiretual’s sourcing assistant makes recruiters’ jobs easier. This gives recruiters more flexibility to personalize communications to potential candidates, increasing the chances of response.

Resume screening

A lot of time and energy is spent screening resumes. In the event of a large-scale recruitment process, all hell can break loose with the high number of resumes that come in.

Searching for the right resume in a large pool is not only time consuming, but exhausting. Research suggests that for each hire, manual resume screening takes 23 hours. While keyword screening can help, there is always the risk of good candidates falling through the cracks.

Technology has evolved and become more intelligent, allowing recruiters to screen the candidates, in shorter time span. Ideal , for example, uses artificial intelligence to scan through thousands of resumes to find the right match, reducing resume screening costs by 75%.

Interview scheduling

Scheduling interviews can be a Herculean task for any recruiter and usually is done through a series of back and forth emails and texts as the recruiter coordinates meeting times between candidates and interviewers.

On average, each recruiter spends 20+ hours scheduling interviews alone. This is one task that can be outsourced to an AI platform that can easily handle scheduling communications.

Not only does it increase recruiting efficiency, it gives the recruiter back some time to make the hiring process more human and personalized in other areas.

My Ally ’s AI agent, Alex, can take care of scheduling hiccups, doubling recruiting efficiency and reducing the time to hire. Working for Outcome Health during a high volume recruitment session, Alex was able to move candidates 300% faster in the interview to job offer pipeline, allowing a high level of candidate care throughout the hiring process.

These are only a few of the processes that can be transformed by an investment in the right AI technology.
